Notes: For your consideration is a watch that might need an introduction as it has been overshadowed by its successor, the Submariner. This is the mysterious 6202 Turn-O-Graph! Here is what we like to call the pre-submariner as you can clearly see where the legendary Submariner DNA came from by looking at this watch. It debuted before the Submariner in 1953 and its no question it feels more special in its own way. These generally did not age well and its commonly seen with a mix-match of aftermarket parts as original parts are near impossible to find once things have been replaced. The great thing about this watch is that it retains its original gilt swiss only closed chapter ring dial and while most of the radium lume has fallen off, the gilt on the dial just pops beautifully. The original gilt mercedes hands with large bubble sweep hand is extremely rare and matches so well with the gilt dial. Even more impressive is that it still has its original red triangle bezel which is almost always replaced with a non Rolex aftermarket one. While far from a safe queen as the watch is over 63 years old, it has survived well considering its age and most importantly it has remained in its original form. Here is an incredible opportunity to own a Rolex that you won't see at your next watch get together.
