Notes: For your consideration a rare transitional Tudor 7016 Rose silver/gilt dial in amazing all original form.  This one is the an early example of the transitional model that immediately followed the 7928 with a correct first quarter case-back (I.68) engraving which explains the rose dial with silver text and gilt chapter ring only used on late 7928 models.  Also unique to the 1968 transitional is the semi-pointed crown guard case which was exclusive to the 1968 7016 reference.  This one being minimally and lightly polished with nice even crown guards and still thick lugs.  The patina is amazing, especially under its high domed T19 crystal and the MKII "long 5" insert has faded to an eye catching grey color.  Add the original twin lock crown and 68' stamped US C.I. rivet bracelet and this is as good as it gets.  Possibly the nicest 7016 transitional we have ever seen.
